On Wednesday 29 April, the annual Volunteer of the Parks and Leadership in Conservation Awards night was held by the Rotary Club of Burnside.

About 60 people attended the presentation dinner on Wednesday, 29 April, including the Executive Director, National Parks and Public Lands, Mike Williams.

These awards have been presented since 1983 (formerly Ranger of the Year) – for over 40 years! In 1988, the Volunteer of the Parks award was introduced.

National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia staff and volunteers were recognised on the night for their dedicated conservation efforts.

Congratulations go to both Bradley Clarke-Wood (Limestone Coast Region) who won the Leadership in Conservation Award, and Vicki Natt (President, Friends of Butcher Gap), who won the Volunteer of the Parks Award!

We also pass our congratulations onto all other finalists.
