The Minister for Environment and Water, the Hon. David Speirs announced on the weekend the opening of the 2020/21 National Parks and Wildlife Service Volunteer Support Grants program. This program will increase from $60,000 to $90,000 a year for the next 3 years and is specifically directed at on-park volunteer group activities that are supported by NPWS. The additional funding will significantly increase the number of projects such as biodiversity conservation, post-fire habitat recovery and threatened species monitoring

Similar to previous years the Friends of Parks Inc. Board will administer the grants, and an assessment panel made up of regional staff and Board members will review all grant applications.

The application form and guidelines are attached
