If you’ve ever wanted to snorkel with giant Australian cuttlefish, here’s your chance. We’ve partnered with our friends at Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries to bring you a special Park of the Month event in July with discounted snorkelling tours.
What will I experience?
The Australian giant cuttlefish is the largest of all cuttlefish species and can weigh up to 5kg. Each year between May and August thousands of cuttlefish congregate in the Cuttlefish Coast Sanctuary Zone of the Upper Spencer Gulf Marine Parknear Whyalla to mate and reproduce.
This spectacle is complete with an underwater light show with cuttlefish able to change colour, shape and texture to attract or ambush potential mates.
