Conservation Volunteers Australia has established a bushfire recovery volunteer database, aiming to match volunteers with organisations who need volunteer support.
If your organisation would like to put the call out to the list of over 11,000 people who are keen to volunteer for bushfire recovery, simply follow this link and register. Once registered, we can list your opportunities to the volunteers.
Registration is quick and easy. We are here to help if you would like any assistance with the online form and, where needed, we can assist in training your organisation to help you manage volunteers safely.
With the cooler months upon us and recent bushfire recovery funding opportunities opening up, now is the time to get the word out about your recovery activities. We accept a wide range of projects and events occurring in directly affected zones, as well as nearby regions, including areas that act as refuge habitats. We also welcome online and citizen science projects that can aid environmental recovery.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch, on jmiller@cva.org.au or +61 437 477 627.
Best wishes
