Friends of Stipiturus and Hesperilla Conservation Parks

YOU’RE WANTED

People of all ages and abilities are wanted to join the growing number of Friends of Stipiturus and Hesperilla Conservation Parks.

These state conservation parks protect endangered Swamps of the Fleurieu Peninsula in the Mount Compass Area.

The Friends group supports the SA National Parks and Wildlife Service in the maintenance and monitoring of these two parks.

Join us for our working bees and monitoring visits, held ten times a year on a Sunday from 9am to midday. You'll work with others to help preserve and maintain the unique plant communities in these two parks, the endangered Southern Mount Lofty Emu Wren and the rare Sedge Skipper Butterfly - shown in our logo above.

Work with other volunteers and specialist ecologists. See rare plants and animals few others know about. Make a practical contribution to conservation in our state.

Enjoy the camaraderie, diverse work and interesting discussions. Work includes weed removal, enrichment planting of critically endangered plants, monitoring biodiversity change, and facilitating Swamp Fest each year.

Working on activities with the Friends meets Mutual Obligation Requirements for JobSeeker recipients.
