Friends of Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park

The group undertake a number of conservation projects around Coober Pedy region that include, weeding, rehabilitation of creeks, seed collecting etc. They work with the Marla Oodnadatta NRM group and have Lelia Kamphorst from SA Arid Lands DEWNR attend their meeting and support the group.

The group were invited to by the Kanku – Breakaways Conservation Park Co-management Board to help with activities within the Kanku – Breakaways Conservation Park. The planned activities include walking trails, weed control, bio-surveys, rehabilitation of tracks and lookouts and infrastructure updates.
