Friends of Hindmarsh Valley National Park

The Hindmarsh Valley National Park is located on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula and is home to some significant biodiversity values including Nationally critically endangered Fleurieu Peninsula Swamps and important habitat for threatened flora and fauna.

Caring for the park is the Friends of Hindmarsh Valley National Park, a group of friendly people dedicated to the protection and improvement of this beautiful park. Group members are all ages and come from far and wide; some live locally while other come all the way from Adelaide to attend working bees once a month. The group, established in 2025, has been getting to know the stunning landscape within the park along with tackling some of the issues impacting the park. There are many ways the group can be part of caring for this significant piece of land, including monitoring of flora and fauna, mapping and tackling weeds, applying for grants, learning about the parks biodiversity values and being part of a friendly group of like-minded people.

The group meets every 3rd Saturday of the month, 9:30am to 12pm. If you would like to be part the Friends of Hindmarsh Valley National Park group, you don’t need any special skills and we would love to see you there.
