Friends of Hardings Springs

Bordertown Field Naturalists and Friends of Harding Springs.
Harding Springs is a Conservation Reserve on the Ngarkat Highway between Bordertown and Pinnaroo.

The Bordertown Field Naturalists maintain a nature track that has eighteen points marked along it that are both naturally and culturally significant. A brochure will help you identify plants along the track.  The track leads you to a natural soak, which is often dry now, and a bird hide. Look out for orchids in Spring.

The park has a picnic table and seats for your use.

If you would like to join the Bordertown Field Naturalist Group contact any of our members or Phil Verco (President), Carolynne Parker (Secretary), Jenny Killicoat (Treasurer).

Generally we meet on the third weekend of each month and participate in overnight or day field trips. Currently we have 38 members who live in the Upper South East, Victor Harbor and Western Victoria. We are the largest and most active group in the South East.

In April 2023, the Bordertown Field Naturalists Club celebrated our 50th birthday.
