Friends of Brownhill Creek

The Brownhill Creek is a popular bushland recreation area and only 8km from Adelaide.

We are volunteers who value the natural and cultural heritage of Brownhill Creek Recreation Park (proclaimed in 1841).  Please join us in maintaining and improving the natural features of this special place. We:

  • Maintain and restore native plant species and communities in the Park.
  • Maintain and develop a safe habitat for the endangered southern brown bandicoot.
  • Work with school and community groups to prepare new planting sites and encourage others to adopt special areas to maintain and watch rejuvenation of local native plants.
  • We encourage the preservation and restoration of the Park’s natural and cultural heritage.
