Friends of Southern Mallee Parks

FSMP formed in 1989 and carry out voluntary work in Mallee Conservation Parks under the guidance of NPWSA Rangers.

Notable achievements have been to establish a network of walking trails around Pine Hut Soak in Ngarkat C.P., restore Pertendi Hut, help develop picnic and camping sites, maintain Karte Walking trail, install signs & seating and help raise public awareness of Mallee Parks.

Meetings are from April to September and take the form of a family picnic. They are informal gatherings and everyone is welcome.
