Friends of Charleston Conservation Park

Charleston Conservation Park occurs on the eastern edge of the higher rainfall zone of the Adelaide Hills, receiving an average of 700mm pa. The original park was proclaimed in 1976 and conserves 54 ha of remnant vegetation. The park size was doubled in 2017 with the purchased of an adjacent grazing property to the east. The two sections of the park require different types of management, with minor weed control the focus of the original park, and ecological restoration being the focus of the newer addition.
The Friends Group meets on the first Friday of the month from 9.00 to 11.00 to undertake a broad range of interesting activities.
